rebecca cornock
certified yoga instructor

Bec’s yoga journey began as a student over twenty years ago. Bec loved practicing yoga and enjoyed the peaceful and flexible feeling it achieved in her mind and body.

After finishing her job as a Trainer in the corporate world of Information Technology and Human Resources and having three young children, Bec continued to value the importance of taking time out and relaxing whilst keeping her mind and body flexible and strong.

Bec went on to study yoga as her passion and hobby, but after learning so much wanted to take the skills and knowledge she learnt to the community so they could benefit from practicing yoga too.

Bec has been teaching in yoga studios, online, gyms, schools, for charity and in her own private studio since 2009. Over the past five years Rebecca has collaborated to run Yoga Retreats up and down the NSW Coast. This is a passion of Bec's, to bring like minded people together in a healthy, fun and safe place. Bec is now expanding internationally with Linda to create and expand a purposeful travelling yogi community.

Bec’s personable approach to teaching yoga is to provide stretching, strengthening, relaxation and enjoyment. Her classes combine Hatha and Power Yoga asana’s with an emphasis on moving with the breath in a flowing Vinyassa style, incorporating a relaxation period at the beginning and end of each class. She also teaches Yin and meditation.

Classes are suitable for beginners, general level and pre-natal students of any age. Her goal is for everyone to finish their class feeling rejuvenated, re-energised and relaxed.

When not practicing yoga, Bec enjoys time with her family, friends, travelling, swimming, walking, eating good food and relaxing.

Bec’s qualifications include Yoga Teacher Training Diploma at Premier College Sydney in 2009. Power Yoga Teacher Training with Fitness First in 2012. Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Power Living in March 2017. First Aid Certification. Degree in Health Science Majoring in Psychology at Wollongong University in 1993 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resources Management at Charles Stuart University in 1995.
